From the desk of the Principal . . . Our young people- tomorrow’s scientists, writers, inventors and citizens, learn lessons they’ll need for the future in classrooms each day. The responsibility of educating students makes teaching one of the most important jobs there is. Teachers make a difference in the lives of their students. Whether it is coaxing the reluctant student in Hebrew, inspiring the history wiz or nurturing the dreamer’s creativity, good teachers love working with children and enjoy the connections that come with being an instructor. Teachers are role models. Young children delight in seeing their teachers in the grocery store, public library or at a community event. The source of all good teaching is the human heart. During Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-10, please join me in reflecting on the importance of our teachers and our temple community’s role in supporting their efforts to educate our children. Please mark your calendar: There is no Religious School on Sunday, May 11 for Mother’s Day. Sunday, May 18 is the last day of Religious School for this school year. School will begin at 9:00. Parents are asked to return at 11:00 for Closing Ceremonies.
